Centuries ago, the magic left our world … and the magicians went with it, stepping into the Gates to Mystic Albion and leaving OldeWorld – Earth – forever. Since then, the two worlds have remained separate, until now.
Three young magicians, experimenting with dangerous spells, find themselves accidentally transported to the world their ancestors fled. Finding friends and allies, they try to blend in as they struggle to find a way back to their home, unaware that danger lurks in the shadows of a very alien world …
… And that they are already running out of time.

Hey People! Buy This Book So I Can Read The Sequels! [Very Big Crazy Grin]
There is a problem with Amazon Australia. It will not charge my debit card. The book SAYS I have purchased it, but won’t show up in Content and Devices, won’t download and does not, as I have said seem to be charged to my card. I’ve checked my account and one click settings and they are OK

Was an interesting book but the theme of almost literally everyone on Earth being a rapist and, even though we didn’t see much of it, everyone on Mystic Albion being a paragon of virtue because ‘magic’ and technology just made the world worse (even though I remember you saying in the afterwords of a different book that you hated that theme) was pretty grating. Though this could just be because of the POV of the main characters from Albion. Could be balanced out by having the Earth character see the darker sides of Mystic Albion in the next book and how both worlds really need one another.
I plan to, yes – the modern world just looks very shocking to them.

The Amazon link does not work. The book ID is ok.
That was OK, although it did have a bit of a saggy middle. Seriously though you need to move on from magic schools. Also, a more original magic system would do no harm; some terminology seems to have leaked from “Schooled in Magic” into this one.
The Cunning Man and Stuck in Magic are better than this so far.
