Quick Updates

3 Jan

Hi, everyone

All things considered, it’s been a bit of a frustrating month.

Basically, I had the fifth cycle of chemotherapy in the first week of December – and it turned into a nightmare, as I was completely useless for the following week. I followed that inglorious moment with a all-new infection, which sent me back to hospital for a couple of nights (and then some more days spent coughing) just in time for the sixth (and hopefully the last) chemotherapy treatment. Which led to another round of chemo brain, which I really could have done without. So Cry Wolf and Cursed (and everything else on my schedule) have been delayed. I’m sorry about the problem, but right now it can’t be helped.

On the plus side, both Para Bellum and The Alchemist’s Apprentice are now available in paperback. (Let me know how they look – this is the first time I’ve worked directly with Kindle Paperback instead of CreateSpace.) Audio versions of these two – and The Broken Throne – are on the way, but – as usual – I don’t have a due date yet.

I’ve also started diversifying my publisher base through Draft2Digital. Everything in Kindle Unlimited is, of course, exclusive to Amazon, but I’m hoping to put everything else on a number of different platforms. If you use them, please feel free to let me know what you think. Right now, you can download most of the Ark Royal and Zero books through the various platforms.

I hope you all had a good new year – and I hope to bring you many more books when my head finally clears up.

Chris

You just relax and get healthy. I promise to keep buying my favorite books series from you even if it’s a year before you produce another. LOL you just get healthy.

And thanks Chris for all the hard work!! I stumbled across SIM awhile back. And that lead to all your other books. I’ve spent many great hours, days, weeks just binge reading over the years. So again thanks!!

Just get better. The books can wait. We’d all much rather have you writing for years to come than have you rush yourself and feel horrible.

For goodness sake…Do NOT apologize to us for not being able to write while enduring the after effects of chemo…Just get better and worry about writing later..

Hmm…Change the SIM plotline and have Emily abandon fighting the necromancers, take healer oaths, cure cancer, and return to our world…preferably Scotland circa 2019…take care!!

Please don’t apologise about being unwell Chris. It’s not like it’s your fault. I wish you all the best in overcoming this and getting healthy again.

I really like your books, and it seems that you are one of the few authors that can write faster than I can read. Having said that, you take care of yourself first. Take the time you need to fight this beast and knock it out. We’ll be here waiting for you. Absolutely no apologies are necessary.

Take as much time off as you want. You’ll still write down little notes as inspiration hits you. So how knows? What you eventually get back to writing/finishing might even end up better for it. 🙂

Same response as everyone else. Don’t worry about writing, get well first. I’m still praying for you.

Your health is the most important thing Chris; not a book or a timetable. I love the SIM plot and am looking forward to cursed. That being said your health is the top priority.
