The Long Distance War Edit 3

The gloves have finally come off …

The Tokomak, the unquestioned masters of the galaxy, have dispatched a massive fleet to crush the Solar Union – and the fledgling Galactic Alliance – before the human race and its alien allies can tear the galactic order asunder. Hundreds of thousands of starships under the command of an alien tactical genius, bent on exterminating the entire human race … the darkest hour is truly at hand.

Admiral Hoshiko Stuart has a plan. The Solar Union will dispatch a fleet of its own, with the objective of smashing the alien fleet before it reaches Sol. But, as human technology clashes with alien treachery, experience and sheer numbers, it becomes clear that there can be only one victor …

… And whoever loses will lose everything.

For some reason this does not yet have the series link on the Amazon UK product page (it is there for the first four books of the series, though not yet showing book 5). I find these links VERY useful as you’ve published so many books that it is hard to find all the books in a series on your Amazon author page and am very grateful that you’ve set series links up for all your series. Also, it makes it much easier to buy all the outstanding books with one click, one order and one payment!

Despite the missing link I did manage to work out that I only owned books 1 and 2 so I’ve just bought the next three.

It should be up by now. For some reason, it takes time for the system to pick up that there’s a new volume.

I found it by entering the title in the search bar. I actually had the book on Monday.

Chris I have a question about this book. In location 1714 a seemingly new weapon is mentioned storm shadow. But it wasn’t used. Is this because they’ll be used in book 6 ?

    Hi Christopher
Over the entire book you are talking about the enormous, huge, whatever, fleet the Tokomak have.
Everyone who sees it is in awe of the size.
But in the end is 2000 and something against 500 more ore less.
Seriously? Even with 100% combat losses it means that they started with 4000 units.

      Hi

To be fair, that fleet was the survivors of a pretty intense space battle

        Hi Christopher
” To be fair, that fleet was the survivors of a pretty intense space battle ”
Not really, if we are speaking about the same book the campaign loses are in hundreds, maybe.
For me what makes an universe believable, maybe even possible is reasonable technology and story line progress.
Who decides what is reasonable? Well, you do, it is your universe, your creation.
But, this also makes you responsible of keeping the new parts of the universe in line with the old ones as much as possible.
Thank you for your time and effort anyway.

Do you know when:Their last full measure ” will be published?

Chris is currently in the hospital and will be there perhaps another week.

Obviously, this is putting his writing in delay mode.
