Good News …

9 Mar

It’s been a particularly irritating week, for all sorts of reasons. But it’s over now <grin>

Several good pieces of news. Invincible is going up for pre-order now and it will be going live on 15th March. Thunder and Lightning, an older book that has been extensive rewritten by Leo Champion, is up for purchase now – I’ll be putting links on the blog soon, once I have a sample in place – and the audio version of The Zero Curse is up for pre-order too.

And I’ll be starting The Princess in the Tower on Sunday.

The current schedule looks like this:

March – The Princess in the Tower (Sim 15, making SIM the longest-running series)

April – The Family Shame (Zero 4)

May – The Embers of War (Kat Falcone 6)

June – The Long-Range War (A Learning Experience 5)

July – The Broken Throne (SIM 16)

    Kat Falcone 6?

Are you counting Hyperspace Trap as Kat Falcone 5?

Or am I missing one? 😉

is Princess in Tower and Broken Throne another connected novel ? Both in Zangaria ? Always enjoying new SIM novel, but I might wait until BT if that case.

Not intentionally. But I will write 16 shortly after 15.

I know! It’s great to have it all based on a single character.

(I’ve actually written a post about the making of SIM for the Fantastic Schools blog. Keep an eye out for it.)

How do you do it? Writing a book a month is incredible (from the outside)…

      I credit bloody-mindedness, myself

This is exceptional. I stopped at Chapter 6 to tell you how much I liked this, great detail and beautifully developed, well-written.

But mostly, a wonderful arc of realistic stuff. Love it. Amazon review as soon as finished, here’s looking forward to more. Also checking out Champion. Is he a regular collaborator of yours?

    thanks! Dick

No, but we hope to do more in the future.

Planning on anything in the Empire Marines track! While I like almost all of your work, I still find it the most satisfying and well done…

I’m working on the plot, but I’ve had a small problem with keeping it realistic (yes, I know) and it needs to be revised a little.

Thank you very much for the updated schedule and for the two new SIM books. Go SIM.

I recall your explanation in the first book of the zero series where you explained that by the time you came up with the zero idea it was too late to put it in SIM. You seemed almost regretful, but the zero series has proven to be fertile ground for you. Are you glad now that the idea came to you when it did?

I think so, yeah. It lets me go in directions SIM does not.
