So ….. Updates and Progress Report

First, we now have a cover for Alassa’s Tale, so I’m hoping that the eBook will be released within the next few days. There probably won’t be a specific paperback release for the novella, as it’s only a quarter of a regular book, so we’re currently planning to include the novella in the paperback version of The Princess in the Tower. We may end up doing the same for the audio version, but that’s some time off. I’ll keep you informed.

Second, the remaining books in The Empire’s Corps are now available in paperback, purchased through Amazon.

Third, Fists of Justice is planned for an audio release on Feb 15.

And fourth, I’m currently sixteen chapters into The Zero Equation. I’m hoping for a release date somewhere in late February, as the books have always had an extensive editing process, but obviously that cannot be confirmed at this time.

Always appreciate updates from you, although I die a little inside every time I hear you are working on something other than SIM.

I was wondering if you have considered authoring a novel or novella that your children can read around age 8 or so. I’ve noticed some artists do that once their children approach an age to become curious about their parent’s work.

I think it is written more towards middle grade, so 12 and 13 year olds. at 8 years old, a first novel needs to be more accessible.

I recall that almost all of my early novels had protagonists who were children, and I mean 8 or 9 years old, Almost all of them also had the kid solving some kind of mystery and/or ghost story. I think that is something kids can do without having strong magical powers or super powers. You give an eight year old strong magical powers or the like, and that sounds more like a horror movie or a twilight zone episode.

One exception that sticks out was about a child who was bitten by a poisonous snake, his rescue, trip to the hospital, treatment, and recovery. So I’m sure there are other options.
