Updates …

23 Jan

Hi, everyone …

Well, here we are in KL – again. The jet lag was terrible this time, although I’m not really sure why. Maybe we shouldn’t have tried to sleep so much on the plane. And this afternoon the skies opened and rain came tumbling down …

Apart from that, I have finished the first draft of The Zero Blessing and done the edits. I’ve sent it off to the agent, partly to see what will happen. I do have a plan for two sequels – The Zero Curse and The Zero Equation – but writing them will depend on how things go (and sales, of course.)

Sales and reviews of The Sergeant’s Apprentice have been very good <grin>. You can also pre-order The School of Hard Knocks on audio now (due out 31/1/2016).

The next project is The Long Road Home, Book IV of A Learning Experience. I hope to start in February, after we get home.

On the downside, I’m still unsure about the plotline for Wolf’s Bane. I may need to rethink it several times … <sigh>

“The jet lag was terrible this time, although I’m not really sure why.”

Do what the Left does in this country: Blame it all on Trump.

    Toilet backed up? Trump’s fault.
    Traffic bad? Trump’s fault.
    Stub your toe? ….

Of course, one could just get into a time machine and go to the 2001-2008 era and all of the above would be the same except you would switch out ‘Trump’ for ‘Bush’.

I’am not making this up. That Trump Derangement Syndrome [TDS] is going on full swing and won’t stop for the next 4 – 8 years. Trust me.

      How silly.

      Everybody knows that it was Reagan’s fault. 😈 😈 😈 😈

In order for that to happen, all these young and very ill-educated Millennials would have to be aware of Reagan in the first place. So….

Hope you are now over the jet lag, it always seems worse flying from Britain to the Southern Hemisphere than the other way around!

Chris – you don’t have to answer this question and you can delete it if you want – but you seem to travel around a lot. Does this give you insights that you incorporate into your books?

        I think it does. .

Watching other societies is always interesting.

On the other hand, it can be harder to relate to others. I flew around the world in 14 hours or do; a hundred years ago, the trip would have taken weeks.

I can’t wait for the long road home to come out. But the same can be said for so many of your books. Lol
