Up Now–Ark Royal IV–Warspite!

5 Dec

The successor to the hit Ark Royal series!

Peace is not freedom. Peace is merely the absence of war.

The First Interstellar War is over, but the Royal Navy still has plenty of work to do. As Earth struggles to recover from the bombardment, Captain John Naiser is placed in command of HMS Warspite – an experimental heavy cruiser – and ordered to escort a squadron of colony ships to a star system of immense strategic importance.

But as the crew struggle to survive hundreds of light years from Earth, they find themselves dealing with the legacy of the war … and a threat which may sow the seeds of renewed conflict, or a deadly civil war that will rip the human sphere apart.

Unrelated, I just saw you’ll be in the anthology Riding the Red Horse. Is this going to be a new piece?

It’s a prequel to WARSPITE. You probably don’t need to read it, but it should be fun. Chris Date: Mon, 8 Dec 2014 21:57:40 +0000 To: christopher_g_nuttall@hotmail.com

Read finished the book. Loved it. Personally I am not pro-LGBT. But respect the way you handled the main character being one in the book.

Also I believe that labelling book Ark Royal 4 is doing Warspite a disservice :P.

Maybe you should consider renaming the series to: “World of Ark Royal” or some other name.

Or maybe “The 2nd Age of Exploration: Ark Royal” 1, 2, 3. Then “The 2nd Age of Exploration: WarSpite” 1, 2, 3, etc 😀

Anyways to me this is your best series so far :D. 2nd for me, is Schooled in Magic.

Chris, great read and I can’t believe how close to my expectations the story line was! Brilliant. I will of course post a review on Amazon 🙂 Just wanted to say kudos mate, well worth the wait.
