Last sentence of your blurb. I might change from ‘some part of civilization intact’ over to ‘keep -some small- part of civilization intact.
But its just a thought. Makes it seem less ‘certain’ that she’s going to do what she ends up doing. It makes the scope of her accomplishments very much in doubt.
